HELLO!

I'm Cassie (she/her)! I am a board certified licensed acupuncturist and herbalist. I obtained my master’s degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Yo San University in Los Angeles, with specialized training at Being Alive, a clinic dedicated to patients with HIV. I also attained advanced clinical training in China from the renowned China Beijing International Acupuncture Training Center and the Institute of Acupuncture and Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. I am licensed by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM), Minnesota Medical Board, and the California Acupuncture Board.

MY STORY

I came to acupuncture the same way most people did - I had pain. I grew up with terrible knee pain and no doctor could really figure out what was going on. I tried a variety of exercises and stretches, but they never seemed to do the trick. In my early 20's, the pain became excruciating. Luckily, someone asked me if I had ever tried acupuncture. I'd only vaguely heard of it, but I decided to give it a go. It ended up being a life changing experience. I spent a few months as a dedicated patient of acupuncture. After my treatment plan, it helped reduce the pain I had been experiencing for years and it set me on my way to becoming an acupuncturist. With acupuncture, plus the exercises and stretches prescribed to me by my doctor, I was able to walk the Camino de Santiago (500+ miles across Spain) without the debilitating pain!

I believe the combination of both eastern and western practices, an integrative approach, achieves the best results for my patients and strive to give the highest quality of care.
